  • Posted on: November 15th, 2012 by: Jacquelyn

Your present life is made up from the actions of your past.  Your future life is not determined by your past, but the choices you make now.

We all will come across obstacles, challenges, and borders in life.  And at that moment, we will have a choice…

 - A choice to give in & give up and let those challenges defeat you.

 - A choice to use your imagination and believe you will get through them.

 - And a choice to see these walls as a blessing in disguise and learn the skills to propel off of them.

Your future will be exactly what you decide it to be.  Think positive and you will make those positive choices that will shape your future.

Why Do People Succeed?

  • Categories: Expert Advice, Make Money, Personal Growth, Success Stories
  • Posted on: October 19th, 2012 by: Jacquelyn

Richard St. John asked the most successful people what are the key things necessary for success.  I love how this video is only 3 mins and straight to the point.

1.  Passion:  Freeman Thomas says “I’m driven by my PASSION.”  They do it for LOVE, not for money.  If you do it for LOVE, the money comes anyways.

2.  Work:  Rupert Murdoch says, “It’s all hard work. Nothing comes easily.  But I have a lot of fun.”  They have fun working and they work hard.

3.  Good:  Alex Garden says, “To be successful put your nose down in something and get damn good at it.”  There’s no magic…It’s Practice, Practice, Practice.

4.  Focus:  Norman Jewison says, “I think it all has to do with focusing yourself to one thing.”

5.  Push:  David says, “Push yourself.  Physically, mentally, you gotta push, push, push.”  You gotta push through SHYNESS & SELF-DOUBT.

6.  Serve:  Serve and give value.  Millionaires serve other something of value.  That’s the way people really get rich.

7.  Ideas:  By listening, observing, being curious, asking questions, problem solving, and making connections.

8.  Persist:  Joe Kraus says, “Persistence is the number one reason for success.”  You gotta persist through failure, you gotta persist through C.R.A.P (Criticism, Rejection, Assholes, and Pressure).

Branding Yourself On Facebook To Build Your Business

  • Categories: Internet Network Marketing, Social Marketing Secrets, Transform Yourself, Website Advertising
  • Posted on: October 19th, 2012 by: Jacquelyn

Some people are so darn good at branding themselves on Facebook, and you know their business is reaping the rewards of it.   I’ve struggled from being a Facebook novice to an expert in Facebook branding in a matter of 2 years.  I have an network marketing business and in 2012 I was #3 in sponsoring out of over a million distributors.  And the cool thing is that the majority of my leads and prospects came from Facebook!  Here’s what I learned over the last 2 years…

1.  It all starts with you and your life.  People do not want to follow someone with a crappy life, so first things first…you need to be happy with your life.  And if you’re not authentically happy, you need to work bettering yourself.   Start with your health and body because that’s something that you’ll live with for the rest of your life.  Start creating healthy habits, exercise, eat more nutritiously, take your supplements.  This is the foundation for a your branding image.   People will only follow those who are happy with themselves.

2.  Connect with people and create your Social media network.   Increase your Facebook audience and make your account public.  Sales starts with trust and likability, and now with Facebook it is a great opportunity to show your life to everyone.  Build trust and relationship without even speaking with them.

3.  Be authentic.  You don’t need to be perfect.  In fact, you are more likable the more imperfect you are.  People are able to relate to you, feel connected, and therefore trust you.

4.  You are branding yourself on Facebook regardless if you want to or not.  So, take the time to be mindful of what you LIKE, Comment, and post about.  The goal of every post is to create interactions.  The more Likes & Comments you have shows your audience that people are interested in you and are following you.  And also important is that when people interact with your posts, your social network expands to their Facebook friends as well.

5.  Be an expert in your niche.   The great thing about Facebook is you become the expert simply by posting about certain subjects.  Of course don’t over do it!  You don’t want to be a spammer!  I recommend posting a link, image, or written advice a total of 3 times a week.  Get a feel for it.  You’ll find that you’re posting something of value to others by how many likes and comments you receive.

6.  What kind of posts do people want to interact with?  People are visual creatures and are much more likely to LIKE & Comment on posts with pictures.  I tend to get more likes with pictures of Travel, Cats, Dogs, Cars, Motivational Quotes…but not too many of any one category.  Always give your audience VALUE.

7.  Interact with your followers:  When you post gets comments, interact with them.  Reply back about their comment or simply thank them for commenting.  Social media is not about selling but about connecting.  So make it your #1 mission to connect with your followers.

8.  Use paid Facebook Ads.  You can set a low budget for only pennies a click.  If you do it correctly, you can get over 1000 likes to your Facebook fan page in a week for under $100.   This small investment will build you a following, make you look more credible to others, and increase your list for potential clients and customers.

9.  What NOT to do:  Never post about politics, religion, or anything that will alienate a portion of your followers.  Never complain nor be negative.  Never talk down about another person.  Never share your relationship or family problems.  NEVER EVER spam your audience by constantly pushing your products or services.

Most importantly…HAVE FUN!  People will sense if you are posting out of obligation or actually posting because you like to connect with people.  Be the person that people like, trust and want to connect with.   And remember to focus on giving value.  Because only AFTER giving value, will you reap the rewards.

7 Tips To Improve Your Results On Facebook

  • Categories: Internet Network Marketing, Social Marketing Secrets
  • Posted on: July 25th, 2012 by: Jacquelyn

Do you ever wonder why some people build their business on Facebook alone.  While others, maybe including you, are struggling to create any results?  There is a strategy, and I’ll share that will you here.

1. Add your Fan Page under ‘Works at’ on your profile

If no one can find your fan page, it’s worthless.  Having Facebook Fan page that is easily accessable is an important way to brand yourself and your business.  If done properly it adds credibility and brands you as an expert.  Click here for tips to increase your Facebook fan page likes.

2. Add a few new friends per day/week from suggested friends

Some people don’t add people who they do not personally know, and that is perfectly fine if you are only using Facebook for personal reasons.  But if you also use Facebook for business reasons, building a large audience and network can take your business to the next level if you market yourself properly.

3. Send all new friends a private message and create audience …

In all businesses relationships are key.  Building your network is neccessary, but without connecting with those new people it is worthless.  When you see that someone accepted your friend request, send them a quick message to say hello and mention which group of friends you have in common.  Less than 1 min of your time makes a big difference.

4. Comment and engage with people who are posting in your feed

Encourage more people to comment on your posts by creating conversations.  Also like and comment on their posts that you find interesting.  The more people who comment and like your posts the bigger audience your post receives.  So other peoples comments and likes are important.  Encourage them.

Another tip:  Send a friend requests to anyone who Liked your post who is not already your friend.

5. Work on your story in the ‘About’ section on profile and Fan page

You are interesting and people want to hear your story.  So make it easy to read your story by making it clear and to the point…no novels please!   Talk about your success and things you are proud of that relates to your business.   Tell your audience what the goal of your fan page is and how you will give value to them.

6. Post pictures of you working, traveling, going to meetings

People love pictures and tend to like & comment on them.  Whenever you are doing anything interesting, always martket yourself by posting it.  Post it both on your personal and fan page.

7.  Stop selling in every post you create – focus on educating, giving value, socializing.

Selling can be compelling.  Of course you should definitely share what your business does and any products and services you offer.  If not, how else would your network support your business if they do not know.  Just don’t do it all the time.  I recommend no more than once a week at most.  Instead give value.  And don’t forget to use Facebook for what it was made for…SOCIALIZNG and BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS.

If you know of any other tips I missed, please leave them in the comments section.

Building A Home-Based Business Without Sacrificing Your Sanity

  • Categories: Entrepreneur Mindset, Make Money
  • Posted on: April 11th, 2012 by: Jacquelyn

I’m a recovering addict. There was a time when I was addicted to my home-based business. Once I realized what I had my hands on…I became obsessed. My business was the first thing I thought about when I opened my eyes each morning and I would stay awake for hours every night strategizing and adding potential partners to my contact lists. When I finally did fall asleep, I dreamed in circles. Building my business consumed my time, my energy and dominated my conversations. I’m afraid I alienated more than a few friends and family members with my single-minded determination to “share my vision…even if I have to beat you over the head with it!”

This was not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve long maintained that a fast start in building a network marketing business is a good start. Certainly, my entrepreneurial nature (read…necessity to earn enough in commissions to pay for my automatic product shipment that very first month) helped lay the foundation for long-term success. However, when momentum becomes obsession, the likelihood of burnout increases, often long before we can attain the success we desire.

So…how do we find and foster that coveted state of being called balance – especially when we’re so passionate about our opportunity that we can hardly help but be consumed by it? Here are five strategies I’ve implemented that have helped me gain peace and composure without curbing my enthusiasm.

1. Maintain perspective.

For me, this meant coming to the realization that building my business was not more important than my personal spirituality or my family relationships. Of course, there are crossover threads in our life tapestries but I’m learning to prioritize: God first, family second, business third. I personally believe when we get to the other side, we’re more likely to be asked, “Did you love?” than, “What level did you hit in your network marketing business?”

2. Involve your spouse and children.

After all, one of the primary attractions of our industry is the promise of more time with the people we love. My children were fairly young when I started building my home-based business. At first, they were my fan club but they soon started helping out wherever they could, including sharing their own product stories at our home meetings. I was honest about what my goals and intentions were because I needed their understanding and support. They had a stake in my success and their involvement taught us all a great deal about personal development, financial responsibility and what is possible when we work together as a team. Nineteen years into this journey I readily admit I wouldn’t have attained the success we currently enjoy without them. In fact, they are now my legal partners in business.

3. This is a business.

It sounds so obvious, but it took me a few years (and significant penalties and interest owed to Uncle Sam) to figure it out. I wasn’t keeping track of my business expenses, I wasn’t setting aside money from my commission checks to pay my taxes, I didn’t have any set working schedule (other than all day, everyday) and I was operating my business from our kitchen table, the living room couch, from under the covers on my bed…you get my drift. I didn’t even have a separate bank account or designated business phone line. Now I know better. I actually have an office in my home and I keep fairly regular business hours. I pay my estimated taxes quarterly – what a concept! – and keep detailed records of my business expenditures. Of course, I’m open to spontaneous flights of fancy and unscheduled visits from grandchildren but if my office door is closed…everyone knows I’m off limits. By scheduling the hours I conduct business, I’ve found the true time freedom I’ve been talking about all these years.

4. Expand your interests.

Getting involved in activities and causes outside business is a very good way to recharge physically and emotionally while continuing to build relationships that expand our warm markets. Staying active through exercise helps reduce stress and opens our minds to endless ideas and possibilities. Date nights with your spouse or socializing with friends or other family members helps maintain a healthy balance between business and personal life. My husband and I schedule one day a week together with the intention of simply having a lot of fun. Our alone time has enhanced our relationship and interestingly, I believe that time away from my office has also contributed to my business success.

5. Reap the benefits of stillness and silence.

This has been a tough one for me because somewhere along the line I programmed a belief system into my psyche: busyness = productivity and productivity = success. Why, why, why do I still – pushing 60 years of age – write items down on my “to do” list even after I’ve done them just so I can cross them off? Why, when I should be relaxing in a comfortable chair as I’m getting my hair done do I whip out my cell phone or my planner? Is it really necessary to fold the clothes while I’m watching TV in order to assuage the guilt I feel for turning the TV on in the first place? Can you relate? We’re entrepreneurs, doers. Downtime is a tough assignment for us. Too often I catch myself in an over-stimulated frantic rush, jumping from task to multi-task. Thank goodness I discovered yoga – my calm in the middle of the storm!

Yes, I’m finally learning to simply sit. To relax. To breathe. To just be present. It feels so good, tingly even, to disconnect from all the technology in my life, sit on the swing on my front porch, close my eyes and listen. I’ve heard that creativity is one of the sweet fruits of boredom and as a loving gift I’ve given myself permission (twenty minutes a day, that’s all I ask) to be beautifully, wonderfully, deliciously present. This precious time brings balance to my life and allows me to bask in gratitude for the journey I’m on and for the blessings of a home-based business.

7 Effective Ways To Grow Your Home Business

  • Categories: Make Money, Website and SEO
  • Posted on: April 4th, 2012 by: Jacquelyn

Home-based businesses with a sole owner can only grow so much, right? Wrong.

With a little creativity you can keep expanding your home business, without hiring employees or renting an office. Here are seven tips for increasing revenue at your home business while keeping it a one-person show:

1. Use technology. From scheduling newsletters and social-media dispatches to issuing blog-post notifications via email, automate as much as possible. Collaboration tools such as Citrix Systems software can also help you readily pass off or work in the same document with colleagues and consultants without having to send giant email attachments or deal with a courier service. Additionally, video conferencing or call forwarding technology can do wonders for helping your little company appear much bigger — and more professional.

2. Outsource. These days, freelance marketplaces such as Elance and vWorker.com make it easy — and relatively inexpensive — to find contractors for a wide variety of roles, from accountants to virtual secretaries. There’s no law that says you have to make official, full-time hires to grow. Increasingly, I’m encountering high-revenue, fast-growing companies that have few, if any, official staffers and are driving growth entirely through contract labor.

3. Watch for opportunities. Entrepreneurs’ prime advantage over big companies is the ability to be nimble and shift gears quickly if a new opportunity emerges that might lead to more business. That’s what home-based franchisor Patricia Beckman did when she saw a need for a standardized virtual-assistant chain. Now her VA business, Cybertary, has 25 franchisees and is growing.

4. Treat your business like a business. Don’t neglect the back-office end of your business. For instance, consider using an online invoice system such as FreshBooks or Intuit’s Bill Manager. Being able to systematically track your payments and expenses will not only save you time, it’s also more professional in the eyes of customers or clients. Keep regular business hours so clients can rely on you.

5. Invest for growth. Yes, being home based can help reduce overhead, but you still need to put money into the business to keep it thriving. After all, you’ve got to spend money to make money, remember? And that’s true no matter where your business is based.

6. Don’t forget your plan. Know your goals for the business and keep your focus on the steps you need to take to achieve those goals. Beckman recommends keeping your business plan nearby and referring to it often. And as plans change, update it.

7. Get out there. Some solopreneurs use being home-based as an excuse to never meet with clients in person. That’s a mistake. Get out of that home-office cave — you can build stronger bonds with clients in face-to-face meetings. Attend networking events to keep growing your rolodex and gain exposure to new ideas.

How have you kept your home-based business growing? Leave a comment and tell us your strategy.

On September 24, 2011, USA Today endorsed Direct Selling by including another supplement in their newspaper.   This is following the widely known Direct Selling in the Wall Street Journal in June 2011.   Publications such as this have been giving direct selling entrepreneurs the respect and legitimacy they deserve and due to the large audience of these newspapers there has been a huge spike in business builders.

Financial Experts Endorse Direct Selling

The full version of Why Direct Selling Works includes a great article titled, “From Wall Street to Main Street“.   It shares why finance experts are not only endorsing direct selling, but they are also buying and starting direct selling companies!

People like Warren Buffet (who purchased Pampered Chef) and Suze Orman (who is an Avon Finance Advisor) invest their time and money in direct selling.  This adds a lot of credibility to your business too.

Robert Kiyosaki:  Rich Dad, Poor Dad

In an interview with Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, he recommended network marketing as a solid path to entrepreneurship and a viable income opportunity.  He was asked, “What has most impressed you about the network marketing companies you have studied?”  Robert said:

“In this Industry, I have seen many people build others up so they can take control of their lives and their future without worrying about being fired all the time, or downsized, or a victim of changing economy.  Network marking is about turning people from employess to entrepreneurs.“

200 Facebook Fan Page Likes in 2 weeks

  • Categories: Internet Network Marketing, Social Marketing Secrets, Website Advertising
  • Posted on: September 28th, 2011 by: Jacquelyn

Like us on facebook

You started a Facebook Fan page, but problem is only a few people LIKED your page, so your updates are reaching no one!

You need to figure out how to attract your initial fan base.  People tend to flock and do what other people are doing, so it is not likely that your readers will be amongst the first follow your page.  So having your first 200 likes is a huge milestone and can start the momentum of a huge fan base.

This simple 3 step process got Home Business Smart 100 LIKES in the first 3 days and over 200 LIKES within 2 weeks.

And even better it is duplicatable.  I taught a handful of people to do the same and they now each have 200+ LIKES without spending a penny on Facebook Ads.

3 Steps to 200 Facebook Likes in 2 Weeks

Step 1:  25 Likes

Once you reach your first 25 fans, Facebook allows you to choose a URL for your page.
For example:  Facebook.com/HomeBusinessSmart, instead of the standard
Facebook.com/pages/HomeBusinessSmart/1912903040.

The easiest way to reach your first 25 fan milestone is to ask the people you are already friends with on Facebook.  Send a short note using the Facebook messages.  Such as:

Hey!  I just started a new Facebook page and Facebook needs me to have 25 fans before I can get a user name for my page.  I’d really appreciate you being one of the first 25 people to like my page.  It would really help me and it only takes a few seconds.  Here’s the link…..

As soon as you reach 25 fans, create your Facebook URL.

Solution To A Weak Job Market

  • Categories: Entrepreneur Mindset, Make Money, Network Marketing
  • Posted on: September 20th, 2011 by: Jacquelyn

Many American’s are expecting that the economic crisis is just part of a cycle.  Do you really think that when the economy recovers, employment will naturally go up?  If so, you are mistaken.

It’s time to get out of the rat race and be in control of your income and future.

Technology Replacing Employees

The Productivity rate is increasing faster than Unemployment is declining.   What that means is computers and automated systems are replacing humans in the work force.   Now it only takes 1 person to easily accomplish the work of 5.

Unemployment rises and the need for employees continues to shrink.  What are we going to do with the 20 million people who are permanently unemployed?

The jobs that the baby boomers and 40+ years old trained for years ago have become unnecessary.  And the new jobs require skills that many older people do not have.  Employers understand this, which is a reason it is more difficult for older people to find jobs than it is for the young.

The scary part is that 50% of baby boomers have less than 25% of needed 401K and retirement savings.

New Age Opportunities To Earn An Income

So what happens to all these displaced workers?   Social marketing may have an answer.  The social marketing business model gives people an equal opportunity and allows people to be retrained while they earn an income.   It gives people an opportunity when no one else will!

Some people start their social marketing business on the side while they search the job market.   They continue to grow the business on the side for their added financial security.   If they were to lose their job, they’d still have their business income to fall back on.

Social marketing allows people to be in control of their future.  They get to decide how much they want to make and how much time they want to put into it.  People get to be entrepreneurs and grow their confidence and self worth instead of being consumed in fear with the shrinking job market.

If you need any help, feel free to contact me!

Top 8 Reasons For Social Marketing

  • Categories: Direct Selling, Network Marketing, Personal Growth, Training for Direct Sellers
  • Posted on: September 13th, 2011 by: Jacquelyn

Benefits of social marketing

Social Marketing is a great way to build a source of residual income on the side of your JOB with minimal effort and money.  Yet, there are many benefits such as personal growth, understanding the entrepreneurial mindset, and creating a residual income.

Are you willing to make time in your already busy schedule to grow a business that will create you nothing but time?  Do it for yourself!  You’ve been doing it for others your entire life….up until now!

Here’s the Top 8 Reasons for Social Marketing:

1.  Personal development:  People grow when stepping out of their comfort zone.  They reach outside of their habitual routine and face new situations and adapt.   Doing so builds self-confidence and teaches those around them by example.

2.  Leadership development:   You quickly learn to become a leader through mentoring and support by those above you.   In no other business does everyone in your team want you to succeed.   You are in business for yourself, but not by yourself.

3.  Expand Your Circle of Friends:  This type of home based business are based on building relationships.  Social marketing motivates people to engage in conversations more effectively being genuinely interested in people and offering solutions.

4.  Be Your Own Boss: You are in complete control of how you invest your time and the amount of effort you put in to building your business.  Of course, this directly affects the amount of extra income you create.

5.  Build Income:  This business model requires the least amount of initial investment and monthly expenses.   And it also offers the potential to create a passive income that can be passed on for generations.

6.  Home Business Tax Deductions: Since you are working from home a percentage of your normal household expenses can be considered a business expense.   And there are many other tax advantages for having a home business.

7.  Save Time And Money: You purchase the product you normally buy at discounts and operate all activities from home.   This also means you don’t need to waste time and gas going to the store.

8.  Be Rewarded For Achievement: Direct selling companies recognize and reward their business builders through bonuses, trips, car payment, and prizes.

When you pay for your airfare, hotel, food, drinks, activities, spa treatments, etc that is called a trip.   When someone else pays it for you…it’s called a VACATION!

Start Your Business And Grow It On The Side

Build your business part time

Have you been spending all of your time and energy at your JOB?  Working so hard just to pay off your bills?  If so, it’s time for a change.   And I’m not talking about changing your job.  You need to change your MINDSET.

The average person is taught to do good in school, graduate, go to college, find a job, work hard, save money, buy a house, work harder to pay off more bills, save for retirement…

That doesn’t sound like an enjoyable way to live life, yet this is the life of the average person.  These people working 40 hours a week for 40 years of the prime time of your life building someone else’s dream.

What about your own dream?

If you make time for your dream by starting a side business now and nurturing it part time, in 40 years you will easily make a substantial source of residual income.

If you treat your business like a hobby, you will create hobby income.   And that’s ok.  It is still extra money that you would have otherwise not acquired.

But, if treated like a true business you will have the potential to earn significant profits with much less time than you are spending at your JOB.  This is when you get to FIRE your boss!

Grow Your Business Part Time

I teach people to plant a seed and grow it on the side.   There are easy ways to conveniently build a business on the side while continuing to live your already busy life.

To do this, you need leaders that will do all the work for you.  They should do all your presentations, follow up, training, etc.

So all you need to do is INVITE.  Sounds easy, right?  If that sounds like something you can do, contact me.

Being able to invite is the only skill you need to grow your own dream and create an additional source of income for you, your future, and your family.

It’s the only way an average person can make an above average income!

Create Happiness By Turning Fear Into Excitement

how to be happy

Are you happy?

There are so many people that settle for what they have, but wish for much more.  People have moments of happiness, but how many of them are authentically HAPPY?   If you want to be happier with your job, health, weight, finances, security, retirement, relationships you need to do something different.  The problem is that we want happiness, but we are not willing to make the changes to create it for personal growth.

If you are authentically happy, keep doing what you’re doing.

If you are not happy and want to become happy, simply change something.

Does Change Scare You?

95% of people will answer yes.   Change is always a NEW OPPORTUNITY in life that people often have a feeling of FEAR or EXCITEMENT.

However, it is easy to confuse the two because they create the same physical sensations.  In both cases, our bodies release chemicals into our cells to prepare them for optimal power and strength.

This is what happens in your body:  Your heart races, your breathing gets deeper, you have butterflies and you concentration and sensitivity intensifies as you become more alert and your eyes widen in anticipation.

The problem is that people tend to interpret exitement as fear and that causes them to stay stuck in their circumstances.  Fear can cause stress and anxiety.  It can cause you to lack in good judgement and do irrational things.

How to Change Fear into Excitement

Changing fear into excitement is a change in perception.   First learn to distinguish between fears that are valid and those that are imaginary.

Then ask yourself these 3 questions:

1.  Where would I be if I did this and failed?  (You’d be fine.  And probably on the same path you are on today.)

2.  Where would I be if I didn’t do this at all?  (You’d be fine as well.  Same place as #1.)

3.  Where would I be if I did this and succeeded?  (Happiness, Time, Money, Success, Fun, Adventure, etc)

It’s time to be in control of your life rather than having the fear control you.  When you put things into perspective and understand the difference between fear and excitement, you can really take back the driver’s seat from your fear and truly steer the course of your life.

It’s about time to make the changes to become HAPPY!

Why 99% of People Give Up?

Why 99% of people give up

Study the image above and ask yourself the question,  Why does the vast majority of people have difficulties achieving their dreams and goals?  Often the culprit is quitting, and it’s far too frequently I see people give up in the beginning of their quest for success.  It’s quite sad really because who knows what would have been if only they stayed focused and committed to  achieving that goal.

People should understand that the idea itself  although a big part of success plays back seat to ones hard work.  More than often people expect success to happen overnight or way too quickly with minimal effort.  By investing your time and hard work with consistency  and patience the chances of success are greatly increased versus jumping in and out when things get bumpy.

The chart above pretty much tells me one thing,  Don’t do what everyone else is doing!  It’s no coincidence that 1% of the u.s population owns 40% of the nations wealth.  It’s also no coincidence that america’s most wealthy individuals own their own business.  That being said I don’t think being a business owner is for everyone,  those afraid of risk or have an over attachment to a sense of security may have a more predictable lifestyle with a job.

The question still remains why do the 99% give up?   I was recently reading an article in businessweek that shed some insight on this topic that I just happen to agree with.

OWNERSHIP:  “I wasn’t sure that this would work in the first place.  I tried it out – it didn’t do that much good.  As I guessed, this was a waste of time!”  This one is a killer, Only you can make you better and most types of projects of businesses will provide a benefit if you do it.  The drive and urgency for change must come from within not from the program, book, or coach.

TIME:  “I had no idea that this process would take so long.  I’m not sure it’s worth it”  The bottom line here is everything seems to take longer than we think it should.  People work 40-60 hours a week building another person’s company yet spend next to 0 hours developing lasting results for their own dreams and goals.

DIFFICULTY:  “This is a lot harder than I thought it would be.  It sounded so simple when we started out.”  Not only do things take longer than we think they will it also requires more hard work.  We tend to have an optimism bias in the beginning.  A good way to combat that is to assume things twice as long as you initially thought and are twice as hard. Commitment and Focus is especially handy here.  We need only look at obesity in America as an example.  As the sales of diet books and tools have increased, Americans keep gaining weight.  Understanding is easy, doing is tough.

DISTRACTIONS:  “I would really like to work toward my goal,  but I’m facing some unique challenges right now.  It might be better if I did this at a time when things weren’t so crazy”   Things will get in the way and you can be certain that some sort of crisis or priority will appear.  people always say well if I just had “this” then I could do “that”  By assuming that Crazy is the new normal you will be closer to reality.  There will always be something to handle in life,  will you allow that thing to stall you and keep you stagnent in one place or will you overtake it and move forward with opportunity?

We are all guilty of the above and It’s ok but there comes a time where enough is enough.  A time where we realize our patterns yet more important than realizing them is taking action and not allowing them to get in our way to grow financially and individually.

Shaklee Vitalizer Vitamins in Outer Space

Seeing the video of Shaklee Vitalizer Vitamins floating in the NASA space shuttle brought a lot of cheers at the Shaklee Global Conference in Washington DC.

Astronaut Captain Mark Kelly was a speaker at the event.  He was the captain of the historic final NASA mission on July 8, 2011 and has been into space more than any other astronaut.  Many people know him as the husband of Arizona Congress Woman Gabriel Giffords who was shot earlier this year.

On NASA’s final mission, Capt. Kelly personally shot video of the Vitalizer vitamins in outerspace.

NASA Astronauts and Shaklee Supplements

Every astronaut in every NASA mission has taken Shaklee products since 1993.

NASA came to Shaklee in the early 1990′s to ask for assistance in keeping the astronauts safe while returning to earth.  Astronauts experience GRS, or General Re-entry Syndrome.  GRS’s symptoms include vertigo, fatigue, gastrointestinal discomfort, disequilibrium and general debilitation occurring during reentry to earth’s atmosphere and immediately after landing.

AstroAde was specifically designed by Shaklee in conjunction with NASA scientists to combat this unique set of challenges facing the shuttle astronauts.
